My favorite place to stay in Bellingham

5.0/5.0

I frequently stay in the Bellingham area for business, and usually travel with a well-mannered but large dog -- a golden retriever. Many local hotels permit dogs, but most charge a substantial fee for the pet. La Quinta is one of the few pet-friendly chains, and they have earned my business as a result.

I've stayed at this location 10 times or so in the past year, and have experienced no problems whatsoever. The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is good, the staff are friendly and helpful, and there's plenty of safe, well-lit parking. My reservation and room keys are ready for me when I check-in, which is a nice touch. I also receive an email from the manager a day or two before my stay, thanking me for choosing La Quinta and offering his email address and phone if I have any special requests prior to my arrival -- I appreciate that they take the time to make me feel like a valued guest.

It's not the fanciest place in town, but it's a great choice for a moderately-priced hotel in a convenient and quiet Bellingham location.

Not bad for the price

3.0/5.0

I stay here for a day every other week and the staff is always extremely polite and helpful.

The building is clean, but old. No Gym facility on-site, but they provide a daily pass for a local workout place.

Right across from my favorite carb place "Olive garden" :)

Great price, great hotel!

4.0/5.0

Never stayed at a La Quinta Inn property before, but my partner and I needed a place to stay for one night and this hotel had the best price for what we were looking for. We were not disappointed!
We were able to check in early and were given a very nice room with 2 queen beds. Liked the fact that the sink was separate from the shower/toilet area. Rooms had complimentary wireless internet plus we had complimentary use of a computer and printer in the lobby. The lobby also provided coupons for neighbouring restaurants (Olive Garden and Denny's), which came in handy. Free continental breakfast of breads, muffins, cereals, fruit, hard boiled eggs, waffles, juice and coffee was just enough to start the day. Location was also perfect - off the main road but central to everything. Front desk staff were pleasant and the rooms were clean. For the great rate we got, we enjoyed our stay and will stay at a La Quinta again.

Friendly staff, relatively quiet

3.0/5.0

The check-in staff was very friendly. The door at the end of the hotel did not work. I informed the front desk and told them they should put a sign there, but seems like nothing would get done. The breakfast was OK. I enjoy the fruits and hot coffee. The orange juice was out of order. Our bathroom was clean but has some odor. The hotel was quiet on the back side that we stay. The insulation was not that great as we can hear foot steps from the above floor.

FABULOUS desk staff!!

5.0/5.0

We try to book at LaQuinta whenever possible, and this was a property we hadn't been to before. The motel looked somewhat older; however, everything was well kept up and in working order. What left the biggest impression on us, however, was the desk clerk name Rashaud. He was FABULOUS!! I booked my reservation over the phone with him, and he was also there when we checked in. I've stayed in numerous hotels, and while most of the desk personnel are friendly, Rashaud was over the top. He was immaculately groomed and well-kempt, extremely polite and professional, and the biggest asset to LaQuinta of any desk clerk I've come in contact with. He recommended a place to eat, and even called ahead to book a reservation for us. In the morning, as I was loading my luggage, he was on shift again and greeted me BY NAME. I was thoroughly impressed. This gentleman is THE BEST desk clerk we've encountered on any of our travels, and he deserves a huge KUDOS. Thank you again, Rashaud, from the mother/daughter in South Dakota!!!
PS: We didn't wake up early enough to eat breakfast, but the room was very clean, as was the rest of the motel. The outside grounds were gorgeous, and it was very quiet. We'd definitely stay here again!
