Decent value, no problems

I was concerned after reading some reviews of this motel but was pleased our stay was good. While hardly a steal at $70 a night for a motel, the location was good for us and the rooms clean with plenty of ammeniites like in-room coffee maker, fridge, hair dryer and wi-fi. The breakfast was fine although the first day overrun by hungry teens on a band trip. However, the room next to us and others further down had no power from about 10 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next day. Safe would not work but not needed. Be sure to ask for a room distant from the freeway and McDonald's delivery/garbage pickup area. Spa was fine.

would stay there again

I traveled with my husband and son while they worked for 2 weeks in Bellevue. Several resturants are within walking distance which was great since I had no transportation. Check out the Greenwood Mantrian Chinese Rest. and Lil John's, great food. The staff was very friendly and acccommidating. Very pet freindly ( I had my 3 month old puppy with me). The court yard is nice, with picinic tables and blocked off for privacy. I would definitley stay there again.

An Absolutely WONDERFUL Experience!! Highly Recommended!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. The staff were VERY friendly and helpful. The lower-scale free continental breakfast was nice...the coffee was wonderful! I had stayed just a few weeks earlier at a Days Inn on Edes Ave in Seattle and was horrified at the terrible service, the high price and the filthy room.
This Days Inn in Bellevue was 100% better than the one in Seattle.
I was there on business for a week and maid service was fantastic, and the price was almost 1/2 the price of the "spendier" hotels in the same neighborhood. It isn't fancy, but it's extreemely comfortable, clean and the staff at the front desk will do anything they can to accomodate your needs.

Only if everything else is full!

This was my first time in a Days Inn. I will not visit one again. This is not my worst hotel experience (that belongs to a Super 8), but it is easily 2nd worse.

1. Price- a 'whopping' $30.00 cheaper than the nearby higher-end hotels (Hilton, Silvercloud). Yes, that is my attempt at a wee bit of sarcasm ;)
2. Location- easy access to freeway.

1. The 'bait and switch'- our regular discount was refused. The clerk told us that because the rooms were filling with no problem, she would not honor any discounts. This seems a bit- sleazy to me. If you have a discount of any type (internet offer, AARP, AAA, etc), it should be honored regardless. This seemed like a 'bait and switch.'
2. Outside appearance- this motel is obviously dated, and is begging to be pressure-washed or re-sided.
3. Inside appearance- the rooms are utilitarian but were expected. Motel 6 or Super 8 quality.
4. Cleanliness- the rooms look clean upon first glance, but my white socks were FILTHY after walking on the carpets all evening. ick.
5. SAfety? Half of the parking lot is behind the hotel, and it is rather scary. My husband disagreed and said I was exaggerating...until we walked into our room and the first feature we saw was a big in-room safe! Does this indicate a bad neighborhood?
6. Complimentary breakfast that couldn't be used- Breakfast was served in a tiny room that only sits about 8. It was packed full of construction workers at 7 am, i.e. no room to sit, much less serve yourself or eat!

If you are reading this review, it means that you actually have time to plan your trip to the SEattle area, which is more than we did. We only chose this hotel because it was available. Almost every other lodging was booked solid at 3 pm on a Tuesday. We were told by the clerks at La Quinta, Holiday Inn and Hilton that most of the Bellevue lodging is booked solid during the week because of business travelers. We also tried Issaquah lodgings with no luck.

This is a Motel 6 pretending to be a Days Inn

This is a motel. The rooms are very small. Bed is clean, but uncomfortable. TV is of decent size, but reception is awful. At 3:30am each day, the dumpsters at the McDonald's next door are dumped. It is loud. At 4:30am each day, there are deliveries at the McDonald's next door. That is also loud. I've had hot water 2 of the 3 days I've been here so far. Breakfast includes absolutely NO protein source whatsoever.

On the plus side (or not depending on your perspective) there is a McDonalds, Jack in the Box, 7-11 and a Starbucks adjacent to the property.

My assistant booked this for $95/night. The nearby Hilton is $116, and the Marriott $120. Good grief.
